I am in for the solution...

May 27, 2009 at 6:36 AM

Buck,

I am a relatively new DBA, have only been officially working in this role for the last 12 months. It has been very challenging without any sort of monitoring software, the company didn’t see the value in getting something like SQL Diagnostic manager.

I have built my own solution based on Rodney Landrums SQL Mag article "use SSRS and SSIS to create a DBA Repository". However that solution was only for monitoring... your project appears to be much more.

So I am in for this.

Regards

Wonderful!  Follow along with the articles mentioned on the first page – that’s where I’ll put the thoughts and processes that form my solution. From that, you should be able to learn the best way to create your own solution. I need to come up with a way that folks can post their solutions so that others can benefit from the knowledge.
